Hi :). So recently I’ve been really praying and trying to figure out what the Lord want’s me to do next year. I applied to VFCC in Pennsylvania and Southeastern in Florida, but I think God has another plan for me. I came across a program called Master’s Commission. I described it to my non-Christian friends as a Christian boot camp ;). But basically what it is, is somewhere you go for 9 months, and it’s completely centered on God. I think this would be perfect for me because I’ve only been attending church for 2 years and a Christian for a little over a year. I want to go to Southeastern the following year, but I want to make sure that my faith is really set in stone before I get thrown into the college world.
The specific Master’s Commission location that i’m looking at it located in Jacksonville Florida. This location is perfect for so many reasons. First, I’m from the northeast and I HATE the cold winters :P. But also, I want to attend southeastern in Florida for 4 years, but there’s a chance that the distance will kill me and i’ll want to come home. So if I go spend just a year in Master’s Commission down there, if I truly hate the distance i’ll know that southeastern for 4 years isn’t right for me. So this is all just seeming so perfect for me.
I just truly feel Master’s Commission would be such a blessing to me. I think it will really help me overcome my past, and to forgive myself. I know that I need to be stretched, and this program will certainly do that.
The only problem is, the $6,000 price tag. When I first saw this price, I was so discouraged. I decided I wasn’t going, it just wasn’t going to happen. But then the Lord kept speaking to me and saying, “Nikki, trust me!”. So to be honest, I have no idea how i’m going to get 6 grand, but the Lord will provide if this is His will.
